You cannot possibly travel through Southeast Asia without Grab. Grab is the most important app you will have because it is ... I was almost gonna say the Asian version of Uber ... but it's beyond Uber.
As a tourist, you will use it for transportation much like you use Uber in other foreign countries … But for locals ,it's your food delivery., it's your grocery shopping app, it's your pharmacy delivery app, it's your transportation connection, it's your payment method - even your chat mechanism.

It's self-explayand easy to use – just download and you're set for Cambodia ... or Thailand... or Singapore...
Plus, it shows you your cost options for different modes of transport… Anything from a proper car to a Tuk-Tuk (they even have electric ones now!) to bizarre technical contraptions in between : this gives you parity with the locals and resolves any, and all cost negotiations – you know what you're getting and what you're paying for it in advance.
My Tuk-Tuk from a restaurant home to my hotel was 4200 KHR (Khmer Riel) - that's 1.03 USD or 0.94 EUR.
