Once a pilgrimage church outside of old medieval Munich, this 13th century church has since been swallowed by the growing city, and the ancient village of Ramersdorf is now a suburb just beyond the east bank of the Isar river.
St. Maria was first built in 1315, but the gothic church was expanded in 14th century, and received a major baroque- & rococo facelift in the 18th century (1733-1792), leaving a beautiful mix of architectural styles that spread across 500 years.
